Combining Medicine and Psychiatry Training

There's not a great reason to pursue combined training unless you're really interested in both. The benefit from those two additional years for my ability to take care of patients and my options, I think were definitely worth it. Even if you are interested in sub-specializing after say internal medicine or even psychiatry, those options are still totally open for you.
