The Delphic Oracle
The Delphic Oracle was a real person, and several prominent historical and pseudo-historical people visited her over the course of hundreds of years. Her prophecies seemed more akin to a fortune cookie, though, than something you could really plan around. Hercules went seeking penance for his crime, a way to regain glory after becoming a child killer. He must kill a lion that's been terrorizing the people of Namiya, a teratoint not far out of the north.
