Plague on Both Your Houses

Plague dominated shakespeare's life and times the cities he lived in. But we don't really see many plague deaths in his work. Why do you think that is wok? Plague is so little used, relatively in the place,. It is surprising given how absolutely prevalent it was at the time. I can't imagine there would have been any one in a theatre who wouldn't have been touched by plague in some way.
