The Divergence of a Handful of Companies

A handful of companies have had a heavy handed index and bringing the S&P 500 average up so much this year. My concern isn't that it's just a small number of companies, my concern is that it's not based on profitability. Apple was trading at well over 30 times earnings but its earnings growth over the next five years is only expected to be about 6% on an annual basis. And if you're paying attention to the state of the global economy, you'll see that it'm not so rosy right now.
