Why Do We Need Variability?

I want to respond first to a previous point you made about, you know, there is more than the actual specimen and already, I can show you beautiful butterflies from the collection. But if you see the actual specimen, the individual, you will have a different emotional response which is different than looking at a picture. So there's an infinity of possibilities in these seemingly inert objects. And then with respect to the issue of why we need variability, we'll get to this later if we if we if you get to the question about what is truth to us but there's something fundamentally important about variability.
