Texas Military Department Cuts State Tuition Assistance Benefits
The national guard is on call for short term state missions. In return, the state will provide benefits like state tuition assistance. The texas legislature mandated a five % budget cut to all programms funded through the states general revenue fund across all agencies in the state. It happened retroactively as well. There were kids this false mester who enrolled in classes thinking they would get this benefit at the same level they had in years past and then got an email in october saying that it was cut.
