Documentary maker paul hammond was trying to understand why people in northern ireland seemed to support people with extreme views as politicians. Home secretary leon britton wrote an open letter, which basically suggests that if the b b c broadcasts this programme, it's giving material assistance to the terrorist cause. Board of governors intervenes and demand right to see show before it is screened. And they hated it. Its actually never shown, but the very fact that they were collaborating to set up a filming occasion seemed treasonous in some way.
