Greek Mythology and Religion - Are They the Same?

Greek mythology and religion are very closely inked, ofviusly. We've got all the gods and goddesses featuring in the stories a but are they the same thing? How should we distinguish the two? There are definitely deities where we don't have myth around them or almost no myth around them. And then you can be lot, oh, ok um, because, you know, this particular, like a local cult deity just hasn't been worshipped before. So em it, no, there's a lot of overlap, but no, they aren't the same thing. But how much would people have believed in their lives every day without the gods?
