It is a myth that the b b c had become a sort of sanct mosneous, naive, gilt written and so on. But there seemed to be something kind of deep rooted here, and it was going to matter for the bb c in the 19 eighties. The idea that it was a home of third rate minds, i suppose, is also something to cind of challenge.
