The Impact of Climate Change on the Electricity Grid
Last month was the hottest June on record and July has been even hotter. This kind of extreme heat is particularly taxing on an electricity grid. Heat is essentially what drives air conditioning use and so it increases electricity use. Climate change changes weather patterns and we get lots of snow or no snow at all, it can really impact our ability to make and move electricity.
