The Story of Zhou Enlai
In 1961 Zhou Enlai traveled all over China to meet with local cadres. He found out that communal mess halls did more harm than good. This led to the readjustment of rural policies including these unpopularmess halls. It's propaganda of the highest order but hit me reaching for my hanky a few times.
