Charles and Camilla married in 2005, almost 35 years after they first met. He was the longest-serving heir apparent in the history of the British monarchy. In 2008 he was described as the hardest working member of the royal family. At 73 is the oldest person to ascend the British throne. The third king called Charles - not a particularly lucky name.
