Silk is like the grand dame of fashion fabrics. No matter what you make with it, it feels fancy and special. Silk fabric is made from the filaments that silkworms use to make their cocoons. Some silks are dry clean only, and they're not even supposed to touch water ever. Slippery, shifty silk fabrics require special techniques to make them behave. Cleaning silk can also be a tall order.
