Credit Card Skimming - The Long and Winding Road of Supply Chain Failure
In the early 2010s, there was a company called Cockpit that offered free web marketing analytics services. In 2021, cyber criminals bought Cockpit's old expired domain and they found out that at least 40 e-commerce sites hadn't updated their web pages to remove any links to Cockpit. So this is after almost eight years of inactivity, these sites are still looking for this code.
