The Importance of Consistency
In venture capital, you might make 20 investments and 19 of them are going to be fail. But one of your 20 will be Facebook and it'll pay for everything. A lot of those private equity deals don't play out. I mean, listen, who cares if you don't beat the market? If you didn't beat some index last year or the year before, that doesn't mean anything. That's so hard for people to accept.
