Is There a New Class of AI?

Underneath the hood, there is a new class of AI that was invented in 2017. It's called a transformer and it treats the entire world as language. When you just pump it full of more language, the entire internet, it pops out with emergent capabilities. In two weeks, Snapchat integrated GPT chat into its product for children to use.
