MicroStrategy's Lightning Network

MicroStrategy executive chairman Michael Sailor has shared his firm's plans to release Bitcoin lightning network powered software and solutions in 2023. The company wants to make it possible for any enterprise to spin up lightning infrastructure in afternoon. Lightning is a layer two payment protocol layered on top of Bitcoin's blockchain that allows for off-chain transact using payment throughput and lowering transaction fees. During the Twitter spaces conversation, Sailor explained that the chief marketing officers could potentially use the lightning to incentivize customers - such as giving out Satoshi rewards for engaging in activities like posting good reviews or completing surveys.
