The Freudian Discourse of the Uncanny
One of the things that amused me in reading that boing, boing essay, weird shit is you're taking a shot at the uncanny. I can't help but wonder if that was also taking a little bit of a pot shot at the way academics and you just got your PhD within the last couple of years,. So you know where of you speak. Instead of using Freud to conjure terms that we can use to approach this domain, we're going to use Lovecraft. Is Philip K. Dick such an intellectual touchstone for you? That's an interesting question.
