The Importance of Engaging India

The administration has put a priority on standing up to China. Do they see it as a sign of US weakness? Or does it make China nervous? I don't know the answer to that question. If it makes China feel good to sit our secretary of state and a chair away from him, a little bit down, people can freak out about that. This is just my opinion. Nobody else is here. We have to engage and continue engaging.
