Rutgers laid off 5% of its workforce. 700,000 people lost their jobs in the university ecosystem. The horror of watching what the university did radicalized us and it provided an opportunity to develop an industrial strategy. In our case, they're using a playbook that feels like it's 30 years old. And I do think it's a profound misreading.
