The FDA's Decision to Invalidate an Abortion Pill
Judge Kismeric ruled that the FDA wrongly granted approval for use of MIFA-Priston. The drug is used to manage an abortion by administering a pill, and it was approved 20 years ago. Judge Kismeric came out of a right-wing law firm that had a history of engaging in this sorts of litigation designed to make abortion less accessible. This is one of the first times in history that a judge has overruled the FDA's ability to say whether or not a drug is safe.
