The Death of Kim Rosemo
Kim Rosemo was the only police officer in Canada at the time with a PhD in criminology. He's basically the brains behind what we call geographic profiling, which is something I think we know well today. The VPD refused to believe that anything other than good old fashioned police work was going to solve this case. In September 1998, public pressure was mounting and the Vancouver PD established its first team dedicated to finding these missing women.
