Are the Lower Earnings Related to Unemployment?
Are the lower wages linked to the fact that they were unemployed for so many years ing for these examps? Or is it something else? Is it that these candidates get disillusioned? As you said, they don't like the idea of a private sector job, so they may not perform as well. They're like, what is the mechanism that leads to lower earnings, even when they have spent so much time working on their human capital? So the signs of the effects that i see are too large for them to be driven just by, like, time out of labor market.
