I think we have this drama narrative around what a writer is supposed to be and look like. There's that Hemingway quote where a writer sits down at their typewriter and bleeds. And so people think that writing is this sort of sexy, emotional thing. And it can be, but it's also a lot of work. It's the art of persuasion and rhetoric and all these things that take a lot of skill.
