The Values of America

During the pandemic, we were the only state in the country that never took those elevated unemployment benefits. I just I said to the president, thank you for that flexibility, but our people want to work. We want to get up even when times are difficult, go have a purpose, take care of each other. And they did it overwhelmingly. That's why right now South Dakota is enjoying the lowest unemployment rate in the history of the nation and why we're doing so well economically.
