The word terrorism itself as it relates to this specific event was used by a kind of extraordinary television journalist who covered the trial in December of 1965. I think the direct analogy between what's happening now and that time is very clear if you just continue to follow the story and not leap around in history. The usage of that notion of white supremacy didn't just start in the 2000s and in the last 10 or 15 years, but it really has well earlier roots in this country among white supremacist thinking.
