My Great Grandfather Was Prime Minister of Albania in the Second World War

Both my parents were, er, both came from dissident families, as it were. My great grandfather was prime minister of albania and one of the first governments that emerged after independence. He had been very one of the key collaborators of the king, who was maligned in communist albania for having sold off the crown to Italy. And so he was crucial in making that transition. When the italians occupied albania, the king fled, and my great grandfather was there to welcome and e receive the italian fachis occupators. Even though they were both on the left, understood the left differently and the different interpretations of what needed to be done at that point
