As a child, you were not allowed to be considered a british citizen. You had a father who was a britISH citizen, but because he wasn't married to your mum at the time when you were born, at that time,you weren't eligible for citizenship. So as far as i was concerned, i was abritish national. And now the fact that it then went and fell to my children, yes, it just really rally confused me.
