A Case Study of the Fortifications of Perthshire
There's a lot of overlapping going on. And the overlapping helps us to start thinking about sequences. So we think that one, for example, that really large camp, is associated with the campaigns of septimius severus. That's part of some of the largest camps that you get in scotland. Some of these are absolutely huge and then got works that sit across other earthworks. It's quite likely that one of the features there may well have been before the fort was built,. Or alternatively, that might be under where the fort is.
