The inca empire did not develop iron technology. And they actually, they sometimes used meteorite iron. But a lot of their technology is, if you like, a a stone age technology. So they could work very fine stone work to produce these close fitting stones. The stuff that's perhaps most famous are the of polygonal blocks where the stone has almost its original organic shape.
