The Problem of Suffering and Spiritual Blindness
The Gospel of John in John chapter 9 speaks into both of those issues. In that chapter, this man whom we meet was suffering. He was suffering from physical blindness, but then Jesus broke into his life and things changed. And near the end of the story, which we'll come back to, we read about people who possessed physical sight, but Jesus said they couldn't see. They were spiritually blind. The problem of seeing of spiritual blindness is the one that keeps people from knowing God at all.
