"VpW Channel 11" made SCTV look huge budget. There was a lot of interesting comedy in Canada. The government rules said they couldn't turn it down, but if you wanted to see something on Star Chamber or UHF with Weird Al Yankovic, you had to get cable access. "I think Jimmy Glick was part of that," he says about Martin Short's fad characters.
