Is There Any Evidence of Early Sanitary Products?

When did sanitary products as we might vaguely recognize them to day start to be introduced? Oh, that's pretty late. fabric becomes much cheaper becauseit weaving becomes automated and spinning becomes automated. So it's largely cloth towels for the nineteenth century. And so you've spoken about early equivalents of sanitary pads. But i guess most people would be familiar with tampons, but i'm guessing that no evidence of any kind of equivalent to something like that has been found. Correct? Never seen anything like that. Doesn't mean happen. Silence doesn't mean absence, but not so far as we know.
