The Role of Scott Pruitt in the Reevaluation of the Auto Emissions Regulations
The automakers argue that the technology involved has turned out to be more complicated and expensive than they had anticipated. They are facing consumer purchase desires that they want to be able to respond to by selling cars that are faster and heavier and therefore consume more gasoline. So they were now convinced that it was hurting their businesses and they wanted the EPA to reevaluate it yet again, says CNN's John Sutter.
