The industry is set to grow by 2030 to the tune of billions of dollars. Most Vtubers don't use motion capture technology as far as suits go, they just use their webcam. The higher end ones need to use motion capture gear, but you're right. Some percent of the market in the future will be dedicated to individuals acting as characters. And it's on the assumption that everyone is going to embody avatars in some capacity.
