In Leviticus 15, whether there's what you have, it's an involuntary sort of situation. So we're not going to criminalize involuntary behavior. But again, for the ancient Israelite, this was very much a part of their worldview. Levine: The childbearing mother was particularly vulnerable and her child was in danger too.
