Introduction

Gustav Zander was a Swedish physician who pioneered the use of mechanical therapy. His machines were designed to massage or sculpt specific muscle groups within the body. He didn't live to see their widespread adoption either, because he died in 1920. About 50 years later, someone else would unknowingly pick up the torch and start Nautilus Exercise Brand.
