Clarence Darrow tried to prove that creationism and evolution are not in conflict. He assembled a stellar team of scientists and respected theologians, but prosecutors would have none of it. Judge John Ralston who was so horribly biased against the defense refused to let the jury hear testimony. The 100th anniversary of the trial is literally just a year and a half away.
