How to Start a Venture Capital Career

I listen to hip-hop I've got like an amazing sound system. What's order advice would you give to a recent college grad who was interested in the venture capital world? Do something else before you go into venture capital because it is one of these dumb fields and that doesn't prepare you very much for anything else.
