The Death of Vigitravirya
Vigitravirya got married to Ambika and Ambalika, but died suddenly. Satyavati was worried about the future of the Kuru dynasty. She asked her son Bishma to use the practice of Nyoga to impregnate his wife. Vyasa had a reason to ask this question: he was an ugly and grotesque looking man. He never cared for his looks and was always covered in dirt and filth. His daughter-in-law didn't object to the idea of having a child with him. But when she heard of Vyasa's 'ugly' looks,. she shuddered at the thought of sleeping with him.
