The SEC Files 13 Civil Charges Against Binance and Its Chief CZ
The SEC filed 13 civil charges against Binance and its chief CZ on Monday. This comes after the CFTC, another regulator sued Binance in March for operating illegally in the United States. On Tuesday this week, the SEC went after Coinbase, accusing it of operating as an unregistered exchange since 2019. A task force of 10 US state regulators have come afterCoinbase alleging it violated state securities laws by offering its staking program to residents.
