Mao Zedong's Greatest Leader

Joe and Li drafted the outline for the common program that served as the first constitution of the PRC. Joe gave an interesting speech on May 7, 1949 at the National Youth Congress in which he warned against deification of Mao Zedong. He invited the KMT to participate and become part of the new China as one party among many. After Jiang Kai-shek was tortured off again, Joe began his long relationship with Jiang Kai- shek. In part five, we will at last look at Joe and lie as he begins his illustrious career as the premier of the People's Republic of China.
