In cubital tunnel syndrome, one may note subluxation of the ulnar nerve over the medial epicondyle with the elbow moving from extension to flexion. This hypermobility occurs in about 33% of adults and it is not necessarily associated with cubital Tunnel Syndrome. In lateral epicondylitis, there will be point tenderness at the ECRB insertion into the lateral epicondyle. A soft endpoint indicates an infusion or capsular tightness, whereas a firm endpoint indicates a mechanical block such as from a loose body,. Check for any crepitus and mechanical blocks.
