Eisenhauer was a five star general in world war too, commanding commander of forces in europe. He thought that the way you do that is to threaten the soviet union with absolute obliteration. Even if they just invaded a little bit of allied territory, Eisenhauer said we would respond by unleashing all our nuclear weapons all at once against them. It would have involved 37 hundred nuclear weapons having t the aggregate explosive power of about seven, seven thousand mega tons on targets.
