Introduction

Tikon Zzenko is editor-in-chief of the Independent Television Channel, Doged or TV Rain. He and his colleagues were already under enormous pressure when Putin's forces launched an all-out assault on Ukraine a year ago. They fled from Russia and within months, they'd established a new base in Riga, Latvia. But by December, the Latvian authorities accused it of spreading misinformation, unhelpful to Ukraine, and they revoked its license. Is there a significant audience for such a critical voice in Putin's Russia? Well, Tikon Zzen Ko joins me now from Riga.
