The Differences Between Rowing and Canoeing
Even within the sport of rowing, there's two different techniques. If you watch someone like the fastest earned times are rarely going to be a rower because it's pretty rare. Any of us would train with a stroke rating, like beyond what you would see in a boat. So even at the elite levels, it'spretty rare to see more than like 38 strokes per minute. Whereas if you're trying to break the United States record, the world record and the 500, you're probably pulling it like a 45 48. You would be likely going for a swim if you tried to do that in a Boat.
