Ohio Voters Refused to Change the Constitution
Voters overwhelmingly rejected a Republican backed measure that would have made it more difficult to change the state's constitution. More than 3 million people went to the polls in Ohio's special election voting to defeat issue one, which keeps the threshold for passing future constitutional amendments at a simple majority. This is all about abortion because they, they were going to have a referendum this fall and suddenly the pro-life groups and the Republican legislators decided we're going to rig things.
