The SEC's Lawsuit Against Coinbase
US securities exchange regulations require a separation of three key functions. In the crypto market and on these two exchanges, all three of these functions are combined. The SEC sent Coinbase a wealth notice earlier this year informing them that the agency is planning to bring enforcement actions against them for running an unregistered exchange.
