The USI Same Manufacturing Slowdown
The ISM manufacturing in the US came in at 46 in June, well into contraction territory and down from 46.9 in May. And we've been saying for quite some time that order backlogs were one of the reasons why activity has been holding up in the US. And it looks like perhaps those order backlogs are starting to be run through. While the US economy may slow, it may slow less than say the European economies.
