The Power of Faith

My father was ordained as a Baptist minister, but back in the 1950s he felt like what God had put into his heart was bigger than any one denomination. He left the Baptist church where he was pastracked and started his own independent church. Every time he thought about dropping the word Baptist, he would get cold feet and he wouldn't do it. A big storm came through and the wind blew the name Baptist off. From that day forward, we've been known as Lakewood Church. Even when you don't have the courage to do what you know you're supposed to do, God will push you in to your divine destiny.
